Our spiritual journey began when we took courses with Master Choa Kok Sui in the year 2000. Over the years, we would see him multiple times a year at spiritual retreats, where he would give lectures and guide meditations to groups of Arhatic Yogi’s. He had a tremendously healing and magical presence and spending time with him felt deeply nourishing to our souls.
Master Choa Kok Sui
He is the modern founder of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga. A successful business man, chemical engineer, family man; he was an inspiration to Pranic Healers all over the world. He spent close to 30 years doing experiments and research to develop the science behind energy healing, using modern concepts and terminology – this came to be known as Pranic Healing. He made it so simple that anyone can learn it. He envisioned a world with one Pranic Healer per family, and he travelled and worked tirelessly to achieve that goal. In his lifetime, Pranic Healing had already spread to over 60 countries and his books were translated in over 30 languages.
He simplified spirituality making it practical, understandable and most importantly: measurable. He developed a beautiful system for spiritual development called Arhatic Yoga. Arhatic Yoga is a synthesis of different types of yoga to develop the soul.
We knew him as a extremely loving, patient and above all wise man who left behind a tremendously impressive footprint with a vision to make the world a better place.
My journey started in 1999 in Mumbai, India. With very little background or seeming interest in spirituality or healing, I was introduced to Pranic Healing when my brother (who had newly done the workshop) offered to try it out on the sprained ankle I had from playing tennis. Much to my amazement, the pain went away in minutes and the swelling came down so much, it looked like nothing had happened. I took the Pranic Healing class the first opportunity I got.
I quickly started using techniques I had learnt in the workshop, doing self-healing for stress and fatigue, and regularly practising the meditation to create a sense of balance with my hectic work life. I had a natural tendency to share and I would talk to my friends and colleagues about my newly discovered healing skills. Unknowingly, I was laying down the first steps towards becoming an instructor, which eventually I did in 2004. During this process, I met Master Choa and over the years had many opportunities to take workshops and attend spiritual retreats with him. Those are still to date some of my most cherished memories.
I moved to the Netherlands in 2006, and have continued my wonderful journey within Pranic Healing and spirituality. I run regular healing clinics and meditation groups in Amsterdam and Buitenveldert and give regular workshops in English. I wish to share my personal experiences as a example that ‘healing and spirituality’ enhances the quality of whatever life we are leading, and that its not meant to replace our lifestyle choices. For me……it has brought a tremendous sense of balance in my life – my family life, my professional life, and my life as a Pranic Healer and Arhatic Yogi.
Keshen is a senior instructor and one of the main licensees and co-ordinators appointed personally by Master Choa Kok Sui for the Netherlands and Belgium. He teaches many courses on healing and spirituality.
Since the age of 11 I was interested in ayurveda, acupressure, reflexology and pranayama. Therefore studying medicine seemed the logical thing to do. While studying there was this nagging feeling that there was more to health and well being than what was being taught in medical school. Thus while in medical school I pursued many healing arts. Of those, energy healing felt the most natural. However, to my analytical mind, energy healing (if indeed a part of nature) should adhere to natural laws. To me on a very basic level it should not matter which healer does healing on which patient, the outcome should be the more or less the same every time (as generally happens when using pharmaceuticals to treat illness).
When I took the Pranic Healing class in 2000, not only was the reasoning and setup of it very logical and sound. Finally there was a system of energy healing where it didn’t matter who did the healing for which client, the results were more or less the same every time. Very quickly I attended more classes and enrolled an accelerated teacher training program. By 2001 I was a licensed Pranic Healing trainer ready to help others transform their life as it did mine.
In May 2006 I received a call that Master Choa wanted to see me and my dear friend Vivek in Germany where he was teaching a class. Once there he entrusted us with the task to coordinate Pranic Healing in The Netherlands and Belgium. Since then we have grown the team from two trainers to more than 20 and try to grow this number every year.
Currently I divide my time between family, business (MicroVision Medical), finishing a PhD in medicine and Pranic Healing (teaching, training new organizers/trainers and private healing sessions).
All through our journey we have used the techniques taught in Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga to maintain and improve our health and wellbeing, as well as maintaining a continuing process of growth and transformation. This process, although never finished, has given us so much joy and strength we have dedicated a big part of our lives to helping others transform theirs.
