Work

Having a good work-life balance is the ultimate goal. While we work towards achieving this perfect balance, the everyday stresses of our hectic work lives do take a toll on us. How many of us have never experienced working under extreme stress, or having an intimidating boss, or having unfriendly and unhelpful colleagues, or just feeling un-inspired and dull with no bright light at the end of the tunnel. All of these work situations add a certain amount of stress in our system. We may not realise it in the short term, but when it piles up its starts to give us warning signals.

More often than not, these warning signals are physical problems we experience on account of this stress, anger, frustration and irritation that we have built up over the years. We all have our ways to de-stress; holidays, a day at the spa, working out, going for long walks, meeting friends. But most of these give us a temporary feeling of relaxation, and the minute you’re back to work, your stress levels tend to peak up.

Meditation has been proven time and again as one of the most effective tools to deal with stress.

Although, we may not be able to see stress or emotions physically, but they do exist……in our energy body and chakras. And therefore, it’s very important we open our minds to what lies in our inner world.

An Energetic Shower

Inner Noise When you sit quietly and observe your thoughts, you might be amazed how cluttered the mind actually is. It never stops thinking and feeling. It jumps from subject to subject, from memory to memory. This ‘inner noise’, the stress, the worry, the anger, the sadness, the irritation, it sits in our system and our auras. We let go of some of it, while some of it stays with us for weeks, months or sometimes even longer….. years. It subconsciously distracts us, it keeps us occupied and often tires us down.

An Energetic Shower and Inner Peace We take a shower for our physical bodies, but we don’t cleanse ourselves from the thoughts, feelings and inner noise that we build up over time.

When we meditate, divine energy flushes through our system like an ‘energetic shower’. It has a beautifully cleansing effect that removes the inner noise and balances our energies. When our energies are balanced, we feel more centred, more like true selves.

When the mind becomes peaceful it tends to be focussed and sharp. Tasks take less time and we noticeably feel the after effects (when regularly practised) on our energy levels, sleep patterns and sense of inner happiness.

We like how the importance of inner peace was portrayed in the movie Kung Fu Panda 2. Although an exaggerated and entertaining cartoon example, it does impart the timeless teachings of the east that inner peace is the key to unlocking our fullest potential.

Meditation on Twin Hearts

Meditation on Twin Hearts is a simple yet very effective meditation technique developed by Master Choa Kok Sui that pertains to the heart and crown chakras. When a person does the Twin Hearts, tremendous amounts of divine energy flows down to the practitioner filling him/her with divine light, love and power. This energy has the tendency to flush out of stress, negative energies, used up energies, fatigue and inner noise. It has a tremendous cleansing effect and also has an effect of temporarily expanding the aura of chakras of the practitioner.
